I finally listened to Wavves- King of the Beach and Best Coast- Crazy For You this week. Both would have been in my top ten for sure if I had heard them last year. Been listening to them both a lot trying to pretend it was summer to get over how cold it has been.

Futurebirds - Hampton's Lullaby

I can't believe I slept on this. They're even from Athens, GA.

Anyone who thinks MMJ peaked with "At Dawn" should check it out. A little less folkly than early MMJ with a bit more hazy, psychedelia. The reverb and distorted guitars are there though as well as the 2 and 3 part harmonies and pedal steel. Still rough around the edges (which is good IMO).

Saw 'em last weekend and they blew me away.

This is going to be even better when things start to cool off.

I was drunk and being a dick when I first saw them last year and texted Wes that they are a Fripster Jupiter Coyote. They had a huge crowd at Bonnaroo this year. Good on 'em.
