So the boy DPollack47 has taken to vigorously defending the uniform choice for the opener.

10d10h10m - we're in the chutes now. Let's get it!

I'd certainly be sweating it out if I were an LSU fan. I'd say there's better than good chance he doesn't play but who knows. Lots of muddy waters to that story. Some people got seriously jacked up so someone's got to go down. I'm sure a couple of guys will never play another down for LSU after all is said and done.

That said, it always seems The Hat does his best work when shit like this is swirling around.

Did you hear the Hebert interview? He said Jefferson definitely isn't playing in the Oregon game and may never play again. He's also pissed that T-Bob was mentioned in the news reports of the Bayou Beatdown (my name).

My question is, shouldn't Zach Mettenberger be able to beat out Jefferson and Lee? The two of them combined for 9 TD's and 11 INT's last year. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

I missed it. I was reading that upwards of 20 players were there for Bloody Thursday (my name, also accepting Smackdown at Shady's).

Also reading that ol Touchenberger was listed as 3rd string?? Guess Richt and Bobo got it right (Mett vs Murray).

I think they probably did. Mett did go nuts at Grade 13 Junior College last year, though. Led the Functionally Illiterate League in passing.

Hearing so many conflicting reports about Jefferson's involvement from he was the main offender to he was a peacemaker. Sounds like the police doesn't have the kind of evidence they need right now. Regardless, this is the last thing we needed right now. But Derris makes an excellent point - this is when the Hat does his best work.

Anyone else notice Apple shit 10% of it's value after naming a Farmville grad as CEO? Way to fail, Auburn!

Dear Maryland: If you are going to look like Grambling, play like Grambling – one white guy, 780 lb. tackle and obvs the whole band thing.

I certainly wouldn't feel confident about Jefferson playing against the Ducks. It might take some time, but I expect he'll see some charges as a result of this altercation. I don't blame LSU for waiting until that time before issuing any suspension, since it might be a misdemeanor charge with minimal evidence to support it.

Yeah, they have to find a new AD, after they fired the one who helped them cheat to reach mid major FBS status. I don't really need to mention that god awful blue turf, but that's a major problem too.

Texas A&M officially asked what they need to do to leave the Big 12, which was the principal requirement stated by the SEC before they even consider the Aggies for membership.

Haha. Yeah, they're...interesting. I think I'm one of the only people who actually kinda digs the tortoise shell white helmet. I think that's going to be a design choice that in the future is going to be emulated in some way. Also, the flat matte black and MD flag elements=awesome. The yellow is too much. They should lose it. The basketball team can pull it off, but the football unis just look odd. Not a big fan of gradient numbers either.

My choice are the monochromatic ones: all black, all red, and all white. Not other combos and mix and matches should be used.

What is the over/under on "celebration" penalties on opening weekend where some player wearing one of these fucking unis forms the "G" or the "O" or the "Bronco" or whatthefuckever with their gloves after they score a TD?

I'm saying 4.

There's no defense for those MD uniforms. Atrocious.

I'm confused. What problems do they really have? Blue Turf? Give me a break.

I've got no problem with using a gimmick to get your foot in the door, and don't necessarily buy into the criticism that the blue turf and blue uniforms gives the Boise State offense an unfair advantage over opposing defenses at home. I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to fields being green and staying with a classic uniform look.

I'd say no more than four. I think most officials realize it is all part of the marketing of the sport, and generally less bombastic than making menacing hand gestures or doing some sort of celebration dance. It will all come down to how long they pose and if they are playing at home/road.

I'm slowly starting to understand how much players love new gear (ie-new uniforms). It means new shit they can take home.

Case in point:

The police took FORTY-NINE pairs of shoes from Jordan Jefferson's apt yesterday as part of the LSU investigation.
