Also, seeing Gillian Welch last night really boosted her new record for me. Surprised not seeing it on more lists. I think Billy might be the only one.

It'll be on mine I think. I'm still digesting it but it gets better with each spin. "Hard Times" is my favorite right now.

I'll be seeing her this weekend. Sold out show at a mid-size venue for here. Guess I shouldn't be surprised, but, well, I was.

FYI, this show was phenomenal. Just her and Dave Rawlings with acoustic guitars. Banjo came at a few times as well as the harmonica but for the most part it was just them and 2 guitars. Easily the quietest, most respectful crowd I've ever experienced at this particular venue. You could hear a pin drop during some of the more hushed songs. For me, this show was like a good home cooked meal for the soul. Cannot recommmend seeing them enough. (Stu, they're playing the Ryman on Dec. 1st)

Oh yes, I'm aware. I'm a Dave Rawlings fan. That guy can play his ass off and has such a unique style.

I like it, too. Maybe not Top 10 like it, but it's easy on my ears.

It's solid for sure. Feels more Pavement than I remember his last Jicks albums being?

Listened to it once and was underwhelmed. Definitely liked the debut immediately. It wasn't bad, but I don't see what people are raving about.

Much appreciate the link to your site and all the reviews. Didn't realize we were neighbors as well. After checking out the samples at Nine Bullets, I'm intrigued with this: BROTHERS THROUGH THE HILL – ADELAIDE.

Nothing they've done has eclipsed Wagonwheel Blues for me. I enjoyed Future Weather and am still getting into Slave Ambient. They all sound good on teh weeg.

Yeah, it's really so good. I can't go to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass this year because I'm taking a vacation that week which is a bummer but Jimmie Dale is perforing with The Wronglers one day and Flatlanders the next. Have seen the Flatlanders the last couple years and they're good n all, but I imagine the Wronglers show for this album is a lot more fun.

And as a bonus, "The Wronglers" is a great name that's fun to say.
