We could definitely still sell the stuff that didn't get wet. I'm sure the boss will point that out tomorrow.

wilmington.
it's really fucked up.
her building is next to a small river (see previous "river cat" posts) that completely flooded her town.
i'm sure she's better than she was over the weekend and we messaged last night but IT SURE WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR FROM HER!!!
in other news, the bowl store was tossed around and flooded a bit but i'm sure they'll be up and running and filling all your christmas needs in no time at all.

I meet almost all of those criteria, am equally lonely and desperate, yet even the mere thought of diving in the sack with Sinead repulses me to the point of nausea (and I'm 100% sure she would feel the same way about me).

See, that's the thing about fat, ugly, and desperate people: we're alone for a reason. If anybody had the slightest interest in the fat and ugly, they wouldn't be alone and desperate. It's flawless logic.

This new movie coming out -- Contagion -- I had no desire to see it. But now I find out that it is the flick that they (partially) filmed in my little burg: a scene in a supermarket, and I guess there was a scene on a block where one of my little one's friends lives.
Guess that I gotta go now.

I support this if only because Tommy Shaw has the worst haircut EVAR in that video.

To be followed shortly thereafter by a Bad English tribute band featuring Julian Casablancas and Jason Mraz.

I just saw a thing about Sushi Burritos.

I may have to consider moving to California if these things don't make it to the midwest quickly enough.

My point is that many bad patents are never invalidated, because of the extreme expense of invalidating even the worst among them. That high cost prevents actual innovators, like startups, from getting to the table. You have a problem with me only naming one bad patent? You still haven't pointed to a shred of evidence (except that you've "seen it . . . A LOT") that the patent system furthers innovation.

And I can absolutely have it both ways about specialist and nonspecialist courts. They are separate problems. The CAFC's problem is capture; your assumption that patent attorneys who specialize in defense are more likely to be anti-patent is baseless. The problem with nonspecialist courts is that patent attorneys are *writing* for specialists, not for engineers or ordinary people. Take a competent programmer and give him a stack of 100 software patents in his field, and I'll bet you he can confidently say he understands and could implement 5 of them as specified.

But, it happens to us all. I'm sure that none of you in your 40's and 50's look as good as you did when you were in your 20's.

Especially sucks for someone like me, who wasn't much to look at even back in my 20s.

Sure that there is another fine young (or not young) lady out there who is ready to jump on the Bobby-Go-Round.
