been a rough year, that has really taken it's toll on me mentally and physically. kind of given up on caring for a while.
it was 9.5 back in Feb 10 (last time I checked).

Doc is giving me 6 months to get it down to 7.0 or lower, or he is gonna make me go on insulin...

I'm up for the challenge. I think. kinda scared actually. :rawk:

Car broke down yesterday. $1400 to fix it.
Looks like it's time for a new one.

What does the remastering bring out/how does it sound differently?

My digital copies of both were the original CD issues, and they sounded like they'd been recorded through a wet hairshirt. The remasters have that perfect balance of shrill and rich that made JAMC so awesome in the first place.

Plus the bonus discs (especially for Darklands) do the same for a pack of b-sides and soundtrack songs.

I wish I hadn't bought those DualDiscs of the JAMC remasters that came out a few years ago.

The remasters sound good, and I got them really cheap. And I ended up just ripping them anyway so the fact they're DualDiscs doesn't really matter so much. They just didn't really have any (or much) bonus material on the CD side that I remember.

Those are incredible. I can't wait for my 100th anniversary so I can start receiving 10 carat diamonds from everyone.

Also, the 8/9th anniversaries being legos = :rockbanana:

I haven't heard the remasters but I have the vinyl on the Jesus & Mary Chain stuff and when I heard the original CDs I was shocked how shitty they sounded. You lost so much of the atmospherics from the vinyl. Now I'm gonna go throw on Psychocandy.

A fair chunk of the Darklands bonus disc is from BWK.

Cool. Will definitely check these out then. My copy of Psychocandy is all shrill, and I never got around to replacing Darklands after it was ganked when my car was broken into.
