After first listen, I am not digging the HUM. It sounded pretty generic. I'll give it a proper listen with headphones soon.

Glifted and Centaur, yes...

Glifted is kinda like a heavy Loveless
Centaur is Hum-lite

yeah, i felt like matt's centaur and tim's glifted were like the two elements (the melody and the underneath stuff) of hum's sound, separated. y'know? unfortunately the whole was more than the sum of its parts.

I'll give you this much and I say this as a huge fan: HUM could be hit/miss. The songs I like are some of my favorite songs of the 90s, but every album had its fair share of clunkers and moments of simply trying-too-hard.

I still throw Glifted on. I thought National Skyline was the Sparta from ATDI in this particular shakeout.

Fillet Show was entertaining
Electra 2000 was absolutely brilliant, and they were brilliant live on that "tour"
You'd Prefer an Astronaut was an overproduced, huge letdown and I tuned out thereafter

really pissed that they broke up honcho too because RCA insisted.

Excellent - I had heard that their EP from late '07 would be their last release, so this is very good news.
