Misfits: Devil's Rain

Jerry Only is back with Dez from Black Flag on guitar and the guy from Murphy's Law playing drums. You probably know if you'll like this or not before hearing a note. It's more polished than classic Misfits, but it's also less catchy and Jerry's voice isn't as good as Glenn, lacks a bit of pace as well. I'll have fun listening to this a few times I'm sure, but I can't really say I expect to keep returning to it after a quick couple listens for kicks. If I feel like listening to modern Danzig-less Misfits, I'll still probably go back to that Misfits1950 cover album over this.

That Misfits1950 album has been collecting dust on my shelf since shortly after I bought it. I may download this at some point, but I'm not in any hurry to hear it.

Have you heard the Pajo album of classic Misfits songs done on an acoustic?

Been awhile since I listened to this. Forgot how great it is.

I think I only really like that project 1950 deal because a decent chunk of the tunes they cover are personal favorites. If I wasn't a big fan of most of the source material I could see it falling pretty flat.

Haven't heard that acoustic album...I should probably search that out.

I never really got too into Almost Killed Me, although The Swish is one of their best songs.

Edit: Also, new Justice is solid so far. It sounded weak at first, then I realized that the left speaker was unplugged on my RCA to 1/8" cord. Doesn't sound weak anymore.

Its ok. I think I need to listen to it when I'm not so exhausted. There were a couple of good tracks, "Into The Earth" being my favorite.
