According to ESPN's standings, if the season ended today Detroit would be the no.1 seed in the NFC (GB would be no.5 seed), and Bills would be the no.1 seed in the AFC (NE no.5). What a crazy year so far. Both no.1 seeds win out on strength of victories.

there have only been 5 games

I know--but I think most people would say NE and GB are better than no.5 seeds. Its just an observation, calm down.

In defense of Juan Castillo, he's originally a linebacker, and I think he was a linebacker coach in college. He has always wanted to go back to coaching defense, but Andy wouldn't let him because he was too good at coaching the O-line. Also, much of the Eagles D's problems stem from that not having the personnel to play behind Jim Washburn's "wide 9" D-line technique. Washburn was hired before Castillo was named coordinator. So, he really didn't have a choice. Also, the Eagles front office didn't give him much firepower at safety or linebacker. I seriously think the Eagles could have been 4-1 if the had just kept Quentin Mikell and/or Stew Bradley. Nate Allen seems to be rounding back into form a bit, though. Rolle is an improvement over any of the LBs that started the season. They need to ship Jarrad Page the fuck out of town, though. Time to give Jarrett a chance, or keep playing Coleman or whatever. Just get that dude off the field.

Castillo seems like a genuinely good dude, and I would love to seem him succeed. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround, though, it seems unlikely.

Mason got traded from the Jets. Dude needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. Its the reason he's still not with the Ravens, and from reports is the reason he's now not with the Jets. He has an opportunity in Houston to make some big plays with Schaub, so hopefully he'll keep his yapper shut, and just catch balls.

I saw L'il Wayne at the Falcons v Panthers game today. There were a bunch of people milling around afraid to say hi or not knowing if it was really him. But I looked over and was like "Weezy!" and he turned and chunked me a duece and I gave him one back and he got on the elevator.

Not 1 minute later I saw former US Senator Max Cleland.

Rise Up!

Hey, GAR - what did you think of the Cowboys' D yesterday? Sucks that we didn't get the win, but impressive to hold the Pats to 20 at home.

Six games into his career, and Jim Harbaugh is already the best coach in the NFL.

Oh, Jim Schwartz with his pained Martin Short (circa Ed Grimley) face is a MUCH bigger ass.

Of course, Harbaugh learned from the master ass (Ditka).

Can't BELIEVE you guys got a first-round pick for a retired has-been (never-was, really)! Nicely done.

That trade HAD to have been spelled out in Al's will.

You never know, that first rounder could turn out to be another Ja(fat-ass) Russell.

Have all the details on the trade come out?

I think it's a first in 2012 and a second in 2013 that would become a first if the Raiders make the AFC Championship game in the next two years.

It's way too much.

Just saw this. I missed the game because I was at the Falcons game. Looks like they did good, but Garrett is taking heat over some play calling?

Mike Brown is a documented thief. I think Carson will do pretty well if he has free reign to run the show the way he wants. He always had his hands tied with the multiple prima donnas who ran whatever routes they wanted to, a weak offensive line, and the various player suspensions.

Definitely way too much, but if the Raiders make the playoffs no one is gonna complain. Palmer isn't a horrible QB, and he's gonna have some targets in front of him. I really like Denarius Moore.

Pretty much. And this turnaround is exactly what he did at Stanford. He's smarter than Ditka but like him is complete mouth breather.

Detroit coach is a wimpy smelly loser...mostly.
