EVIL DR. K PRESENTS
A Lyrical Spectacular!!
The Reflective, nay, Plaintive modern Verse of
DR. HOOK
A poesy set to harmonies and rhythms
named "IF NOT YOU" by the PERFORMING ARTIST

Ladies and Gentlemen....DR. HOOK!!!!

If Not You

Who's gonna water my plants,
Who's gonna patch my pants,
and Who's gonna give me the chance
to feel brand new?
Who's gonna iron my shirts,
Who's gonna kiss where it hurts,
and Who needs a man when he flirts
the way I do?
Who, if not you?
Who, if not you?
Who, if not you,
tell me Who, if not you?
Who's gonna wake me on time,
Who'll smile and say I look fine?
And who's gonna stay on my mind
the whole day thru'?
Who's gonna see that I'm fed,
and Who's gonna want me in bed?
But who'll watch TV instead
Because I do?
Who, if not you,
tell me Who, if not you?
Who.........

Wow, my kids' Bilingual k-8 was mentioned on NPR today[reported by Claudio Sanchez] and he interviewed my son's buddy and his family. Weird. Then later I heard Diane Rheims(sp?) throw it in Pat Buchanan's face while he was crying about too much diversity in the USA, even better! What a fuckhead.

P. Buch should have told her to get a new voice box and let someone who's pipes don't sound like the robot from Lost in Space if he was a quart low to have a shot at a show on WNYC. Blech

Heard that article. Sounds like the bilingual school my niece goes to in the Nashville area is modeled on it.

So, the founder of Firedoglake (a more paint addicted and less actual campaign information Daily Kos style blog) was a coproducer of Natural Born Killers.

Your Monger of The Week. CDC Supervisor/Scientist arrested for molestation, bestiality. Weird story all around, but apparently when the police were investigating the molestation charge, they found pictures of her blowing a Bull Mastiff

Mother Of Cyclist Killed By Williamsburg Truck Driver Blasts NYPD

This whole situation is sickening. On Monday, the NYPD press office told us that no charges would be filed because—and this is a direct quote—"The driver did not know that he hit the cyclist."

Yeah. Heard 3 limbs break last night within 15 minutes. CSU didn't cancel class but they warned everyone to not walk under trees. Naturally, my entire neighborhood/walk to campus is pretty much entirely covered by trees.

I was just a little mad until this:

Quote:
The officer also told us he would be running a checkpoint nearby, and sure enough, a tipster confirms that the NYPD has been cracking down on reckless driving in the area. Oops, correction: the checkpoint targeted cyclists, not drivers, and we're told at least half a dozen cyclists were seen getting tickets from police.

Gave my notice at the newspaper today. Found a non-journalism job to replace that income @ 25 percent fewer hours, and going to focus heavily on freelance writing and editing.

Today feels really great. It's overdue.

Start writing for Grantland. They need someone to replace Rembert Browne, Carles and everyone not the college football dude and Klosterman.

Sent Klosterman a pitch a few weeks ago. Met him at his book signing here last week (after interviewing him for a story this summer) and he said my pitch was good and that he'd forwarded it to Grantland's more day to day editors, but I shouldn't take it bad if I didn't hear from them. Door is open. I've got his cell # and email address. We roll on.

PM INFO NOW ;)

That's awesome man - do your damn thing. I know you've been trying to get out of that day to day grind for a while. (I think we first talked about it in like 2006?) And on an unrelated note - C&E's big spring deal, and The Pollie awards are in Austin in March. So get ready for a GAR invasion.
