Wait, you're telling me a collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica might suck?

i'm going to listen to the whole thing all the way through. I've only made it through a few of the incredibly long songs, but it's oddly fascinating, not in a so bad it's good kinda way, but it's so absurd and nothing like it has ever existed and the two of them are singing in such weird voices that i can't believe what I'm hearing and i can stop listening because you have to after every song because two songs in a row is way too much to take, but i keep going back for more and god help me when I get to that 20 minutes song, oh god why is it 20 minutes, but it's going to make me a better man.

The people saying this thing is the worst thing Lou Reed has ever done are obviously overlooking The Original Rapper and I Wanna Be Black.

Howard Stern couldn't get over how much Lou sounded like Crackhead Bob.

“I don’t have any fans left. After Metal Machine Music, they all fled. Who cares? I’m essentially in this for the fun of it.”

– Speaking with USA Today, Lou Reed explained the logic behind Lulu – and its possible sequel. He added: “No one wants Lulu Part 2, but on Radio Lou, in my head where I hear these songs, I want more of it.”

Is there a "For Spite" section at Amazon.com Music?

I actually really like this--more from a vocal standpoint than anything. The Metallica backing is just sort of "whatever" to me. But there is an interesting dichotomy between the backing music and the vocals that allows me to accept it.

But I guess none of this should surprise me--I like music with bad/shitty vocals.

Things we know about TheTheory:

1) He likes "Lulu".
2) He dislikes The Flaming Lips.

Lou Reed sounds really really old, like he's singing/speaking without his dentures.

But I'm not sure I'll ever "get" the Loutallica album.
