Nah bro. That performance last night was cringeworthy.

Besides, I just give you shit because of my city's culture of failure but hell, that's the beauty of sports. The misery is what makes it taste all that much sweeter when you win.

I feel sorry for those who don't truly buy in with any sports team.

by the way, i know it's out of place in this here nfl thread, but congrats on your dawgs taking out them sorry gators - i was watching and rooting for UGA all the way, man

IF we take down Bama, I don't really want to fool with the Dawgs come SECCG. As OPA would say, "I'll take the Cocks, please."

Former Bears QB Erik Kramer's 18-yo son was found dead, possibly due to alcohol poisoning. What a shame.

Absolutely on cloud 9 right now. Sweeping the Steelers during the regular season. Wooooooooo.

Not for nothing but they still have the Ravens twice and the Steelers twice.

5 of their wins are against, Jacksonville, Indy, Seattle, Cleveland, and Tennessee.

Good for the Bengals but the next 2 weeks will determine what kind of team they really are. (Pittsburgh, @Ravens)

Yeah, I'll be interested to see how the Bengals match-up with the Ravens and Steelers.

Ravens became the team beat last night. Its a great feeling to finally be on the path to a home play-off position. Things are clicking, and for all the ballyhoo off-season about Ozzie Newsome not getting the players the fans wanted, its looking like the Wizard of Oz was correct. Dropping Heap and Mason was unheard of, but looking on the TE front, Pitta and Dickson are ample replacements. At WR, Torrey Smith, David Reed and Boldin are holding down the fort until Lee Evans gets well.

Dalton is good, but he throws a lot of safe passes. He can get sloppy on the deep ball, and his young receivers don't yet have the discipline to break up the interception.
Like Derris said, their schedule has pretty much been a cakewalk so far. We have (by far) the easiest schedule in the league based on last year's performance. The 5 remaining division games are of course going to be crucial and difficult.

I would argue that Marvin Lewis has never been near-fired. Mike Brown doesn't like to pay people to leave early, especially when the head coach is merely his puppet. I think this year may be the first year that he has given Marvin some slack and ability to manage as he sees fit. This is probably the only reason Marvin agreed to a 2 year contract extension. He's basically getting to start with a clean slate of players and has been given the free reign to mold them as he needs. (No more distractions from Carson, Chad, T.O., Henry, among many others provides him better leadership.)

Alright Georgia boys, we gave you all the opportunities we could, then stuffed ya boy Turner when you needed it most. Our defense is still far too inconsistent for me to be comfortable, though.

They should have just run the QB sneak instead of Turner 4 yds. deep in the backfield.

It's easy to second guess Coach Smith for going for it there, but we were only going to stop Brees so many times. Basically, a clusterfuck all the way around a tough loss. Fuck the Aints, their crippled coach and their sorry, homeless looking D-coordinator.

I dunno, I just saw the Giants go for it on 4th and long on the 49'ers 40 and get it. Didn't matter in the end though.

And...Nick Fairley is still the dirtiest POS in football. He just took it from Auburn to Detroit.

Niners... 8-1. Gotta be one of the greatest coaching jobs ever to turn this team around. How the hell is Alex Smith a good QB?

i take great personal satisfaction in being a fan of the team responsible for the 1 in your 8-1

I like both... prefer the Raiders 'cause of the LA connection and the general outlaw nature of the franchise. But I loved the classic Niner teams of the 80's... and this year is an exceptional story being told. I just love the way they are playing this year. And I live on the coast, not the eastbay, so territory-wise this is Niners Country.

And Bob... that Cowboys' game was sooooo close, the Niners really should be undefeated. I mean really, how is that possible?
