I'm thinking Issue 3: the Repeal of Obamacare.

Though, I don't know Timmy's politics enough to know if he's an anti-union Union Dem in the mode of the Reagan Democrats. (To wit: my union is right, & necessary; your union sucks.) In which case, I am sure he stood with Kasich on Issue 2.

I think issue 2 was about much more than collective bargaining, but that was the main sticking point that the voters couldn't get over. I'm a firm believer in merit based pay and promotions instead of "senior status." Also, I think America in general should move away from pensions and into personally controlled 401K retirement plans. The retirement gravy train for retired public employees who very often end up double dipping needs to stop. (Especially with the rising costs of healthcare and Obamacare being repealed.)

While I'm not a big fan of Republicans, I do applaud Kaisch's attempts to reign in spending.

I don't really disagree with those points, but I don't like where this same idea has taken Wisconsin. It gets used to privatize state functions, and concentrate wealth in a way that I cannot agree with. Some serious sweetheart kickbacks going on in WI right now.

So I went and saw Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in Philadelphia last night (my girlfriend really wanted to go) on one of his mere 7 scheduled US tour dates, and while I've never been the biggest fan of him or Oasis in general I have to admit that he put on a helluva show. The band sounded really good and he was in fine voice, playing most of his new album and mixing in a bunch of Oasis classics (if that's what you want to call them) in front of a very receptive, nearly sold out audience.

On an odd note, one that Philly natives and former natives will understand...the show was at the Academy of Music, which for those who don't know is a fancy looking place more suited for the opera and ballet that usually graces it's stage. But awkwardness aside, there are great acoustics and sound in there, so that really helped the experience.

Hight Flying Birds >>>> Beady Eye, although 'Beady Eyes' "The Roller" is my favorite song off of either release.

Going with the DBT cover of Petty's "Rebels" for your intro is a nice touch.
