Let's recommend some albums that are available on Spotify. New or old, simple info, review if you'd like.

Nilsson - Nilsson Scmhilsson - 1971

Only recently discovered this, but cannot stop playing it. Caught his documentary on streaming Netflix, and pretty blown away by his story.

Eternal Tapestry & Sun Araw :: Night Gallery

Quote:
After a brief discussion of mood, the six musicians improvised together for 45 minutes continuously. The music is heard as played that evening - no overdubs, and only a few edits to create a four section suite for the LP release. The piece is titled Night Gallery, in homage to the surreal early 1970's TV show produced by Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame. It was this program that the six musicians fell asleep to, and woke up with, during their five day stay in Austin.

Dif Juz - Extractions - 1986

Early 4AD instrumental band that probably unwittingly laid some groundwork for the post-rock movement. I can hear elements of Bark Psychosis in here as well as Tristeza and some other instrumental acts that may or may not have had Dif Juz in their record collections.

Robin Guthrie and Elisabeth Frasier (Cocteau Twins) contributed heavily to their output, and Richard Thomas went on to drum for The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Remember listening to this as a kid, and just not getting it. Stumbled upon it again recently, and it's finally clicking. Their dissonant, strange, and unorthodox sound has it's teeth in my lately.

Wow, wasnt expecting to ever see them on here. I used to buy all my indie records from Kieth Brammer the bassist for Die Kreuzen. He worked for years at Atomic Records, the best Indie Record shop I ever went in. They were a Milwaukee and Midwest staple. It's funny because there was a time in the late 1980's when DK was one of the top bands in America according to Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. They influenced Kim Thayil from Soundgarden, Piggy from Voi Vod and countless other bands. I personally like Century Days album much better, and track "Number 3" being my favorite on there. Dan Kubinski the singer is still in bands in the Midwest. ...
