I like his chances at Arizona where there will be zero pressure on him: He's not a very smart person, but with the right players his system can win football games.

ELATED that Leach has a job. I wonder how all that squares up with his ESPN lawsuit, etc. Actually, I'm not sure WSU even appears on TV anymore so fuck it.

the puzzling school for me is UCLA. how can they not just stumble into being good considering their location, educational quality, etc. arizona state should be better than they are as well. perhaps just too many discractions (girls, drugs, sun) at those schools.

Excited. Anything that can lead to beating the Huskies is a good thing in my book.

[Kruger]I'm not too worried about it. [/Kruger]

Actually, I think it's a great hire for Pullman. Leach's idiosyncrasies should flourish there. Good luck to him and ahoy, matey!

YOU are puzzled by UCLA's lack of football success? Jeez tell me about it.

Neuheisel handling his firing with grace and dignity. The blogs say Petersen is coming; his sick child's doctor in Boise has been hired at UCLA Medical Center. Casey Wasserman (billionaire alumnus) will fork up 4 million per year for a coach. Apparently "big fat girlfriends" disqualified Leach, who was interested. We will see.

Rodriguez, Leach, Petersen... Yep, PAC 12 is gonna be interesting.

Oh, and UCLA will beat Oregon on Friday...

First time I've watched UGA this season -- supposedly at the top of their game.

First half was perfect. The second half, my impression:

The UGA Defenseman said, "Did you just block me? OK, keep on going because I don't know how to shed a block. Good thing the rest of my unblocked secondary will try to arm tackle because they all stand up straight in pursuit."

And Murray.... :nono:

Get UGA on their heels and they shit the bed. Knock 'em down to #20. One more partial team that doesn't have what it takes when it matters.

Image

You win the first half and get your shit smeared in your face the second AT HOME. Granted it's #1, but ya blew it. Ya blew it big time.

Now we'll see if Wisconsin has their shit together....

Why hasn't FOX updated their bumpers since 1994? And these hack announcers should be calling a baseball game. They're taking ten seconds of dead silence followed by forced unrelated speech to a new level of awkwardness. It sounds like college play-by-play by communications college cunts.

We're Wisconsin. Total implosion in the 2nd half but I'm cool with it. It's not like people haven't seen LSU do this all year except for Bama. We had no running game at all. Our #1 back was hobbled at best. Still, as good as we were in the 1st half (which was GREAT), we just didn't have the depth. I had a blast tailgating at the GA Dome and the atmosphere was awesome that 1st half. Good time.

Speaking of Bama, they need to be holding their breath right now. OSU is putting it on the Sooners right now.

Gonna make it interesting tomorrow.

I was convinced WI was going to lose. And then they didn't due to a play that resulted in two of their losses. It was not impressive in the least; but they won and for the moment I'm elated. But I think Oregon is gonna tear them apart in the Rose Bowl.

I'm glad the Badgers pulled it out. I think there victory combined with the results of nearly every other game today will send Michigan to the Sugar Bowl as an at large team, which basically guarantees the Huskers a trip to the Capital One or Outback Bowl.
If the Spartans won, Nebraska might have dropped down to the Insight Bowl and played a former Big 12 foe.

Georgia needed to jump out to a bigger lead than they did when the LSU offense was sputtering in the 1st Half. The Tigers should have never been in the game after only massing 12yds in the first half, and once their offense starting clicking you could tell it was going to be a blowout.

I'd prefer to see Les Miles take on his old team, but I'm guessing we will see Bama/LSU part deux.

Revised bowl season wishes:

Mythical National Championship Game: LSU v. [vacant] -- they can do a seven-on-seven scrimmage if they would like; as only unbeaten, they have nothing left to prove, nor anyone worthy of proving them pretenders

Rose Bowl: Oregon v. Southern Mississippi; they slew Houston, so they get the invite -- & with the shitshow this season became, let the non-LSU majors try to prove a playoff isn't needed, pitting BCS teams against non-automatic qualifiers in all games

Fiesta Bowl: Wisconsin v. Boise State

Sugar Bowl: West Virginia v. Texas Christian; teaser of this future Big 12 rivalry

Orange Bowl: Oklahoma State v. Virginia Tech; the ACC is a mid-major (in football)

It was less a bed shitting and more an ass whipping.

We'll be back though: this defense isn't going away, Murray has at least one more year and hopefully we'll have some depth to compete with the big boys next year.

And Monty, I would have no problem with Boise St. being in a BCS bowl--they are undoubtedly one of the best 7-8 teams I saw this year. I think them vs. Oregon or Wisconsin would be an awesome game. Shit, I'd like to see them play Bammer in the Coaches on A Pedestal Bowl.
