With Schaub now done for the season I have little hope for much beyond making the playoffs. Seriously an entire season of injuries: Foster out, comes back, Johnson out then set to come back, and Schaub out, plus Mario has been gone all year. I have decided that God officially hates the Texans.

Even Leinart down. Are you kidding me?

Is Eli going to party like it's January 2008, or will Aaron Rodgers continue to finish what Brett Favre couldn't?

(If the Packers win, the only chance of losing this season becomes the Kansas City game. In order of most likely to least likely defeat -- @NYG, @KC, Chicago, Oakland, Detroit.)

I'd put Oakland second behind the giants, then Chicago. KC doesn't impress me at all.

Am I the only one that thinks Matt Stafford is slowly morphing into Jim James. Another 15-20 lbs and a few bong hits and he may be an identical match.

Probably. I think he looks just like Jason Isbell.

Falcons couldn't beat TJ Yates. Season over.

Houston's defense is really fucking good: Wade Phillips may be the king of the "world class coordinator/shitty head coach" subset.

That Bears/Chiefs game was one of the ugliest that I have ever seen.

I was terrified of finding out where Bengals Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer would fit in that scale, but yesterday may have bought us some time. though for sure he'd be coaching the LA Jaguars in a few years.

serious question: what was worse? not getting another play off after that 1st down with 24 seconds, or icing the kicker? i thought the first was way worse, but most people seem to be slamming the icing more.

I was happy with what TJ did yesterday. My biggest fear at this point based on how this season has gone is that he goes down next week and we are left with Jake Delhomme heading into the playoffs. Even with Andre Johnson down again, I think Jacoby and Daniels have played great this year...both doing way more than what I thought they were capable of. Outside of Cincinatti the rest of the season isn't too tough and regardless of what happens there I will take the best season in franchise history as a good sign.

I love what Wade Phillips has done with our LB corps. With Cushing, Demeco, and Brooks (and at some point a healthy Mario) there are a lot of years to look forward to in Houston (assuming they can keep them all together).

it's like trying to decide whether decapitation or electrocution is a more painful death

i guess the self-icing is less painful, because whisenhunt pretty much said he was going to do it anyway, but garrett beat him to the punch - so unless whisenhunt wasn't able to get his called in time, the icing was going to take place one way or another

what REALLY sucks is our kicker had made 26 straight field goals coming into yesterday's game, so it's a shock that he missed one, much less TWO in that game

TJ, I was really hoping yr Cincy team could beat the Texans. Would give the Ravens some breathing room.

Hoping SF is mad after this week's loss to the Cards and they whoop up on the Steelers. Also, the Tebow magic can continue vs. the Pats.
