Just found out that sometime in February I will be adding a certain shit hole country in Africa to my list of godforsaken places visited. Wasn't supposed to be going anywhere again for at least another year. What a shitty fucking day.

Thanks, Drinky.

I ought to have known about that before it ever came up, but, y'know... It's been a mess since you went away.

(AP) LONDON — Severe winds slammed Scotland on Thursday, snarling transport and leaving thousands without power as gusts in some areas surpassed 100 miles per hour (160 kph).

Britain's Met Office — which issued a "red alert" for parts of Scotland — said a wind speed of 151 mph was recorded on a summit in Aberdeenshire. On lower ground, 105 mph winds hit Tulloch Bridge in Inverness, it said.

Holy fucking shit, man. Hurricane Irene got winds in Boston up to like 33 mph.Highest ever recorded is (I think) Mt Washington in NH, at 212 or so? 105-151 is crazy crazy crazy bad.

Name the band that wrote and originally did the song featured in this commercial. Don't cheat.

The chorus is a dead giveaway, but I had no idea up until then.

Its just odd. A friend posted it up on FB tonight, and we're both mutual fans of said band. Just weird to hear that type of interpretation.

I am fighting off a cold or something and think I have taken in somewhere around three gallons of Five Alive the past couple of days. The stuff has to be the best juice in the history of all things juiced.

Five Alive is delicious. Personally, I have an issue with the way orange juice dominates the juice market. I get pissed when I stop somewhere for a bottle of juice and there are about 36 different kinds of orange juice selection and not even one pineapple. I always thought orange juice was just cheaper, but when I compare prices, the various juice blends (pineapple/orange/bananna is best) or even just pineapple juice is no more expensive than orange. Do people really prefer orange that strongly that it dominates the juice market so completely?

I know I do.

Now I wanna try some Five Alive, though. I haven't had any since I was a kid, and I haven't seen it anywhere for as long as I can remember.
