cheers dudes. yeah, it came out quite nice. artist is Emily Fraser. the paper is textured, so it should have a nice organic feel.

I'm gonna need to grab that new Glass Vaults pretty soon, really enjoyed the first one from them and the packaging and such on these releases have all been excellent.

cheers for that man. yeah, the Into Clear EP came out phenomenal, trust me. packaging, vinyl, sound, all aces. was worth the delays at press.

Element Dalen!
Just watched the video for GV and loved it. Very moody and atmospheric completely in tune with the song. Only having heard this one song by them, they remind me of a contemporary Dead Can Dance.

I do have a couple questions / comments about the video though.

To me it looks like it was shot with a DSLR camera like a Canon 5D MkII or similar and prime lenses with available light no? The Depth of Field as a motion graphic device is quite compelling in this type of treatment. A few favorite shots of mine were:

a. when the red haired girl is at the river washing her hands, and then later dives in,
b. the water / swimming shot at 4:22
c. the wide fire shots, and embers flying

Cool looks.

I was thrown a bit by a couple of things though that twist the mood a bit for me.

a. The black frames of footage around :52 to 1:00 that mimic the beat of the song. I think they only appear here then at 2:20 ish, but it looks like dropped frames in Final Cut Pro. Having the footage just cut from shot to shot on the beat might have looked nicer.

b. at 2:50 the shot of the "Lugz" type shoes kind of spoils the vibe set up in the previous near 3 minutes. Until then, I really didnt know what era this was supposed to be depicting, and then, "Blam!" is this now with hippies?

Still for a self produced video, its really quite good. Not sure if this would fit your label, but please, PLEASE steal these guys and bring them to the bigtime USA... The video and song are aces if you dig jangly pop.
