Patriots D showed up today and Ravens' didn't. And Flacco.. :nono: ...even a HS QB has the wherewithal to scramble out of the pocket or throw it out of bounds.

Green-Ellis: he's done just as much in this half as he did on my FF team all season.

Edit: Looks like Flacco took my advice.

Old Fucco staying true to form. He's been better today, but overlooked several open receivers that could have changed the score..and now with an INT when they need a score. Competent QB? Lolz.

That was a shit call by BB after the INT.

Even though he had a pretty mediocre day again, you can't blame Flacco for that loss. Despite Cundiff missing the FG, Evans dropped an easy game-winning TD and the blame should be put on him for the loss.

And even though the Pats D was not great, they did make some big plays when it counted. Good thing because Brady and the offense looked out of sync the entire day against a Baltimore D that was softer than I've seen in past games this season.

Entertaining game.

Alex Smith is a horseshit QB. His vision of the field is horrible. Him and Flacco will be selling used cars in about five years. And the 49'er defense is not as stout as last week because....the Giants have a running game -- not great, but enough to make the D honest. Minus that long play by Davis, the 49'ers haven't done shit and Manning looks as good as last week with Cruz raping the secondary of SF.

Maybe when the 49'ers get an NFL quarterback, they'll win clutch games. 0-11 on third down conversions. How many balls did Smith throw into the ground on the last three possessions? He wilted under pressure. Seven years in the NFL and the guy can't get his shit together. I understand with sticking by your man, but what a horseshit QB. Maybe meathead Harbaugh finally learned his lesson.

I'm surprised Harbaugh didn't throw on a jersey and get under center himself for OT.

Both games were pretty exciting, thanks again Championship Sunday!

Yeah, that was an entertaining couple of games. Too bad both teams I was rooting for were the ones that made the most brutal mistakes. I think I'm actually going to be rooting for the Patriots in two weeks. That sounds weird just thinking it.

Must be an older brother.

(I said it after the back-to-back Manning wins in Super Bowls XLI & XLII, & I'll repeat -- Eli will win more championships (prolly two or three more) than Peyton. & his peripherals (yds/pass, td-to-int ratio) will approach big brother's.

To be +4 in the turnover battle in a HOME playoff game and only win by a touchdown is extremely troubling for the Ravens. Pretty sure the Patriots beat them by 20+ next week.

Great weekend of games though I can't say I enjoyed watching them whatsoever. Still not over that shit show that was the Packers against the Giants. We're due for a shitty Super Bowl, but I have a feeling it will be another thriller.

this gif is great, btw

I imagine you specifically mean Harbaugh sticking by him, because pre Harbaugh he'd lost his starting job a bunch of times and nobody else was able to hold onto it.

We'll see if Kaepernick gets a nod next year since he's the first QB drafted in the Harbaugh-era; and Smith will be an unrestricted free agent.

I agree. But I hear 49er fans bailing out Smith because he doesn't have good receivers. While that may be partially true, he made a LOT of terrible short and long throws on Sunday that increased in frequency as the game progressed. And if you can't find open guys, the play calling by the coaching staff needs to change. Don't put it the hands of a sub-par QB. I just don't see how you can stick with a guy that doesn't improve and kills you in critical games.

I just put a bet on the Giants to cover the spread.

Edit: +4

So because Pagano jumped ship to the Irsays (can't blame him), the Ravens are keeping Cam Cameron as the OC. Baltimore fans are not happy 'round here. Probably not a good idea to make an OC and DC change in one off-season, but man, that offense is holding us back. Cam is so predictable, and won't alter a game plan if we're up or down. Meaning, no hurry-up offenses and no putting the pedal down when we have momentum.
