Black Flag w/ Rahsaan Roland Kirk would've been kick-ass

TV Party is a great blot on western civilization.

I saw recently that Henry Rollins has been reduced to playing provincial inbred shit hole towns like fucking Dunfermline, Scotland! A town were if you don't have big ears, a monobrow and the IQ of a confused marmoset you get run out of town by locals with flaming torches for being out of the ordinary!

There's karma right there, Rollins, you tedious fucking knuckle headed cunt!

Actually, one of the great things about Rollins and Black Flag. They were willing to play damn near anywhere anytime. They were one of the first punk bands and certainly the biggest hardcore band around that would gig in much smaller venues and markets. They were absolutely instrumental to spreading the word on what was very underground music at the time. So, really he wasn't reduced to playing shitty venues in the middle of nowhere. He's always done that. And it is a very good thing.

OK - the whole Get In The Van, SST thing - great, commendable but two points.

1) Rollins spoken word shows are FUCKING EXCRUCIATING.

and

2) They don't have words in Dunfermline.

I went with Coltrane because... he's Coltrane. But I do also love Black Flag.

And:

Yes. As dated as it has become, still, yes.
