I think I listened to their earlier album but I don't remember much about it. I'm going to have to check them out again because the reviews make it sound like something I'd like.

the first '12 album to knock it out of the park for me. best thing J. Tillman has done yet.

of course me mentioning this all but ensures it goes ignored around here. at least check the video. it's got that cute chick from Parks and Rec

What's the deal with this? Is it a J. Tillman solo album under a new name? I liked the song from the video, but I haven't liked much from this dude since Cancer & Delirium.

yep, and it's really unlike his previous solo albums -- though i have to admit i've loved each and every one.

I could barely stand a few tracks from his entire oeuvre. Almost every track on this is good. Enjoying his lyrical wit on this as well.

Easily the best thing he's ever done.

If you prefer his power pop side to his twangy country stuff, you'll dig this big time.

Loving the new fun. easily twice as good as the debut. my favorite listen this year might be

dustin wong - dreams say, view, create, shadow leads

guitarist from ponytail, pure looped instrumental stuff heavy on melodic guitar parts, really good

also like the new lanegan
