Since I read Stone's post that brought up PiL, I've been on a bit of a tear plowing thrugh... First Edition, Metal Box and Flowers of Romance.

All of 'em are just damn good. Not gonna go into detail, just listen. Which of these is my favorite changes from time to time. Vinyl fans in particular really owe it to themselves to crank up an original copy of Metal Box at maximum volume and let it's echo chamber bass wash over everything. First Issue is a classic and Flowers of Romance is a bizarre percussive anomaly. I'm maybe not objective here, but great stuff all around.

Guy on another board pointed this out. Is this album cover an homage to The Hold Steady?
