Returning owners: review the scoring changes, offer feedback.

Max teams: 20. Seems a bit large, but with an whole-league player-pool, Obner teams should remain decently stocked.

Also, upped the number, in the event more than the returning 16, or some combination of returning teams plus teams new to the league totalling greater than 16, want to join.

I like the rosters. The only change I'd suggest is to change hits/9 to whip. In my mind, hits/9 only tells half the story - for a pitcher, hits allowed and walks allowed are equally important. I like whip better because it measures both.

True... But it's a backdoor way to get a defensive stat into the scoring, as BABIP (influential to hits/9) is as much a measure of the fielders behind the pitcher as it is the pitcher. & I have been trying to get defense into the league for the last three years.

Just consider yourself lucky I did not include Catcher Interference & No-Hitter as categories. (I was tempted.)

Also, I have had A.J. Burnett on my rotisserie team every year since 2001, with the exception of 2008-9, so I tend to undervalue walks allowed.

Oh, & I did include k/bb, so it's not like walks are forgotten.

I'm on the fence about doing it this year, I love the draft but I wasn't setting my lineup like a month into it. If you need people I don't need much of an arm twisting, but if I'm not needed it might be better for everyone for me to retire.

You are always welcome. Plus, if baseball is good enough for the Dead -- who are regular anthem singers for the Giants -- it's more than good enough for you.

I already play in a non-superstar AL/NL East only (save for Detroit, an holdover from the league's founding in '94; in fact, we didn't add Tampa until a year after the (Devil) Rays had joined the league) league & have for nineteen years, so I can say, with full throat, 'No!'

(Fuller disclosure: as the league has grown from eight, to nine, to, now, ten, we have added Cincinnati, Cleveland, & St. Louis, the latter two for the first season in this, year nineteen. But, still...)

I just noticed that keeper options were activated for this year. I've been trying to figure out which draft picks we would lose by choosing to keep 1 or 2 players but I can't find that info on the Yahoo page. Does anyone know?

As well as I can tell, it's commissioner's discretion.

But, don't worry, I am tough, but fair.

Also, you don't have to keep anybody. I made it owner's discretion between 0-2 players. If you want to start fresh -- which might be a good idea for me, say -- you can keep zero, & draft as it goes. Otherwise, one or two.

Can you shed a little more light on this:

Quote:
Those teams selecting to keep one or two will be assigned non-premium position in the snaking draft. Choose wisely.

So teams keeping players will pick at the end of the 1st round?

Plate appearances and Net saves?

I'd prefer walks over plate appearances, but it sounds like an interesting stat for when every player on my team goes 0-5 every night that I at least get a win.

What is the difference between Net Saves and regular Saves?
