Of course, I am pulling for a "brokered" convention -- not going to happen -- with Sarah Palin pulling her greatest grift. Not an iota of campaigning, not a day's work on the trail, but, still, the nomination. Palin-Gingrich 2012. (Like Bush-Cheney 2000, but with Glen Rice filling the role of Condolezza, & Gingrich slightly heavier, but with more (physical) heart, than Cheney.)

These evangelical rightard cunts have long been shouting that they represent the "real America". If Santorum wins the nom, everyone gets to find out if that's true.

The way I see it, a national referendum like that is the best thing that could happen to Murica. Mobilize the moderates, shut the christers the fuck up, and move on.

I think Obama will win but I think it will be WAY more competitive than it should be. Whoever the nomination is. Never underestimate the American public for stupidity. But yes, the amount of Santorum support out there (of which there is a LOT) scares the hell out of me. But, it's Romney's to lose.

I will say, I'm really pulling for Obama to win mostly because I want to watch the extreme right completely melt down. The desperation and agony will be unreal. Fox News will be flooded with hate.

There are a sizeable number of Democrats banking on Santorum being an easy Obama win and are telling democrats to vote for Santorum in the Michigan primary since anyone can vote in the primary there regardless of party affiliation.

Trust me, this all already happened three and half years ago and the moaning about "Obamacare" and the "Obamanation" haven't let up since.

Yeah, but I'm sure this will vary state to state, and it's kinda hard to gauge. One would think Romney would stand a serious chance against Obama in Michigan, but with him already struggling against Santorum there, who knows.

Since one is Catholic and the other is Mormon, it's gonna be real interesting to see how they do in the South. I'm thinking Santorum would go over a little better, but I think most of the conservatives I know favor Romney.

I dunno. For many Christian's, the only thing worse than voting black is voting Mormon. Given the large numbers of people adhering to a reformed theology in Mich and Christianity's correlation to political party affiliation, Santorum holding his own in Mich is not that surprising to me.
