Big Audio Dynamite - This is Big Audio Dynamite (really good debut, some good songs after but no good albums)

I think No. 10 Upping still holds up pretty well. If memory serves, the original vinyl pressing is different from what was released on CD...I seem to remember finding the CD version of "Hollywood Blvd" to be lifeless. I also dig Megatop Phoenix in its entirety. After that, "The Globe" was a decent single, but not much else left in the tank.

Megatop Phoenix fan here, too.

Guns & Roses is a great example for me. I think Appetite is a great record but I actively disdain everything else they put out. OK, a couple of cover songs off Spaghetti Incident I enjoy when I hear 'em, but basically I see zero reason to ever reach for a non-Appetite Guns & Roses record ever.

I'm also in agreement about M83: Dead Cities, Red Seas, Lost Ghosts. I remember when that came out I was really digging it and looked forward to what else they would do but nothing they have done has done much for me since.

Chicago - Chicago Transit Authority (don't love this but it's worth owning, rest = meh to terrible)

I really like their second album, too... but yeah. Massive catalog, lots of terrible.

Not the whole record, but a few songs, for sure.

i don't even know if i've listened to that de la album. downloading it now.

(i was wondering who else was on the cover of that album but i assume it's prince paul.)

did you ever listen to this, curious what you thought. I've often thought that my love of that album over others was because of right time and right place.
