I mean The Greek is a cool character, but I don't necessarily see why he'd be included over, say, Burrell or Royce.

I'm sure we could come up with at least 16 characters worthy of a "Loser's Bracket" or whatever.

It all depends on how you look at the show. In my view, a guy like The Greek is orchestrating most of the subsequent moves that these "essential" characters make. He's one of the reasons for the existence of the narrative.

I have a feeling theirs is going to come down to a predictable McNulty vs. Omar final round. I wonder if ours will, too.

I'd throw Slim Charles in over Johnny Weeks.

A couple more I forgot to include...

I know I'd vote Bunk over McNulty in a heartbeat. I'd be surprised if that's a popular opinion, though.

Me too, I never really liked McNulty. I think he was essential to the show, but as a character he was kind of obnoxious at times.

The funny thing is that the Antoine Babtiste character is almost like a Black McNulty when you think about it - deep down a really good guy, but always out for himself...and always womanizing.

If it comes down to Omar v. Stringer, what's the over-under on Bill Simmons's references to Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook? Or is this line going to be taken off the board?

(I say there will be at least 25.)

Every time I see the word "Smacketology" I am reminded of the nefarious influence of McSweeney's on GARntland.

I skipped ahead to the quarterfinals in a few of the matchups. Bloor took care of it though. I'll have the new matchups up tonight.
