I've seen Farrar, so I go with Case/Collins.

So you don't like Farrar live? Otherwise this seems irrelevant.

Actually, it's not a no brainer. I haven't heard the Multitudes but it could be good. I'd imagine with the limited amount of material they'll throw in some choice covers and I enjoy most of their work individually.

Still, I just love the catalog of the Nerves and Plimsouls (and some solo Case for that matter). Just seems like it'd be a more upbeat fun show.

This is sort of where I am. I'm a Farrar fan boy though so it makes it harder. I'm leaning Case/Collins but if I had more time to listen to get familiar with the New Multitudes, it might be the opposite. I've only heard it once and that was streaming at low volume while working.

Case and Collins both live in LA and play around all the time, but they don't play together and I imagine that the set list of Case's solo shows are mostly his solo material. I'm thinking this is a unique show but I know that the New Multitudes is a unique show.

Not an easy choice. I'm surprised it's 3-0 Case so far.

New Multitudes (Will Johnson, Jay Farrar, Yim Yames, Anders Parker) They will be playing a short set.

Oh man...I wish I could actually get to Amoeba at 3pm on a Thursday. That would solve the problem. Not a chance though.
