I'd have ranked Bubs 3rd in this bracket but he's matched up against one of the two I'd put ahead of him.

Clay Davis is a great character, but bubbles is in many ways the heart of the show.

I voted for Clay Davis because I saw he had fewer votes.

It's funny because I think you learn a lot about what people think this show is about by their votes. I like Bubs, but I think Clay Davis is more essential to the story, and essentially more what the story is about.

People like Bubs fall through the cracks because "leaders" like Clay Davis fail them. SHEEEEEEEEEEIIIITTTT. I'm going with Senator Davis.

I actually wouldn't say wrong - I would say you approach it from a different perspective as me.

And from a certain perspective Bubs is certainly one of the hearts of the show. But if the show is fundamentally about the failure of Institutions in America (The Government, Unions, Schools, Newspapers) then the people that populate those worlds of the show are more important to the overall narrative, IMO.

Shiv, we know this is lost on you because you can only watch anything from the perspective of cartoonish violence and fantasy, due to your total immersion into the realm of comics.

You're overthinking this GAR. I know I'm just voting for the character that I personally find to provide me with higher entertainment value, whether it's the character more important to the show's storyline or not. I'd have to change about half my votes if I were trying to vote who I think is more important.

I also think you could make a pretty compelling case for Bubs as the more important character.
