Had a great 5 days in Austin. Went out there for a conference. Ended up hitting up the LBJ Ranch, and generally whooping it up in the area. I'll have better and more expository rundown on dat vesco this week.

Saw Cory for a few beers, had brunch with Chad and his mom yesterday, and.....visited our friend Phil in The Hospital.

Here's a little more information on what happened

He was in good spirits, and they expect a long rehab, but full recovery - not neurological or any other injuries, but his legs were pretty much shredded. Hard to see a friend in that condition, but not surprisingly, he has a strong support crew down there. He even asked Chad for personal "Shitting Lessons" while his legs recover.

Send him thoughts, prayers, and whatever else you can.

I had no idea about that accident.
Damn.
Thoughts and prayers forthcoming.

 WOW. Yeah, I knew I hadn't seen a presence on FB or on here. Dang. Glad he's ok for the most part and can recover from what could've been horrendous.

God... dammit. I was hoping so very desperately there was some other Austin Phil, and then I saw the underbelly of a 70's bmw parallel twin in the article photo, and I knew. Fuckfuckfuckfuck. I didn't need more bad news today. So incredibly happy he's alive.

Yikes. Phil is one lucky mother fucker...

Literally a nightmarish scenario, being ejected and flying over and off an overpass onto the street below. Thank god for helmets.

Phil, I would be upset that you aren't named in either of those articles. I'd want some credit for that death defying stunt.
