Yeah, it's a good pop song... classic Beach Boys. But there is something about just the KNOWLEDGE that these guys are in their 70's that makes the innocence of the song so tough to swallow.
I know that it shouldn't, ultimately matter, but it does. If this had been recorded in 1965, I think that I would like it more than I do.

the music and harmonies are pretty enough. i just wish they were singing it in a foreign language so i didn't have to hear those lame lyrics.

Not terrible (except for the lyrics), but unless I hear something better, I won't be buying their new album (assuming one is in the offing).

I just found out the Beach Boys are playing here this summer. I saw them in the Kokomo era and they were pretty awful, but I want to see the reunited lineup. This song isn't helping my decision. Seriously guys, I wouldn't be offended if you just cashed in on your legacy.
