New Death Grips? Or are you referring to Exmilitary? I'll look into Action Bronson.

Yeah there's a new Death Grips. It came out last month I think. I passed on Exmilitary, but I'll check this one out. What I've heard sounds a little better.

I forgot there was a new El-P album coming out. Is it better than the last one?

I have high hopes for the ASAP Rocky tape coming out in July. Other than that, nothing much. I liked the Gucci Mane mixtape that came out this year, but nothing that I've heard so far has been truly great.

Not huge on El-P. Tried Fantastic Damage several times and just didn't click with it.

The new Nas will be out in July. The first three singles are all pretty good, so I'm hopeful. The Don was on every 5 minutes during the NFL Draft.


I'm way behind otherwise, the only other things I've heard besides the El-P are the Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire and Heems, both which were pretty decent.

Action Bronson is really good, but nothing else has really grabbed me.

i liked that death grips, and i would count it as rap.
also enjoyed THEEsatisfaction, and cadence weapon.

I really like the nacho Picasso record. Not sure if it 2012 or not though.

are ya'll talking about Blue Chips? because I was seriously disappointed in that.

Lil B makes Robert Pollard seem lazy.

Yeah, Blue Chips. I've dug it, hasn't been in constant rotation lately but it's still a pretty good album.

i liked this album quite a bit, has a southern early outkasty kinda vibe without sounding too derivative.

I don't really recall that last El-P album but I've listened to the new one a couple times already and have enjoyed most of it, though there's a few throwaway tracks near the end.

I listened to that Action Bronson again today and thought it was just ok. It's good enough though.



I haven't heard that Heems album but I listened to the Kool A.D. album the other day and liked it.

Chief Keef Back From The Dead (he's a shitty rapper, like waka flocka flame with no personality, but the music on this is good)

Yeah, I'm not really paying attention to rap to much these days although I must admit I do hear bits and pieces of things when I'm out and about that I like so I know something good is out there, I'm just not taking the time to ask what's playing and all that. Seems like a ton of the stuff I'm hearing lately is fairly electro-influenced. I did run across a thing on Bandcamp that I kinda dig. Laid back, indie hip hop sorta stuff. Nothing amazing, but I can hit play on get a good vibe on it:
