Some of you remember my fixation with the now-defunct MusicMagic/MusicIP mix creator/sequencer program. Looks like MoodLogic is the first to offer this sort of thing on Spotify, and I'm really digging it. It creates a playlist on the fly based on one of four moods (sensual, tender, happy, and angry) and offers control curves to re-sequence any playlist (low-to-high, bell curve, etc.)

Patrick, I've still have the last MusicIP GA and beta builds if you don't have them any more. They still scan new stuff pretty well, though not as quickly.

EDIT: You can still get version 1.8.1b here. Apparently, a company still owns the patent but not developing the consumer program anymore.

No, PC (Windows 7 x64) with ~21,000 songs. I also write the analysis info to the files, though I'm not sure how relevant that is.

Where/when does it crap out?

IIRC, DRM-protected iTunes files have a different extension (.m4p I think), so adding that to your exclusions list might work around the problem. Only thing I can suggest at the moment.

Also, everyone else: Moodagent... what say ye?
