I can't believe I went to bed and slept on that comeback. 34 points in the first quarter and 36 in the entire second half?! Jesus, SA. RIP.

Perhaps it is destiny for the Heat to advance, at which point the reconciliation of Lebron & Cleveland can happen, spurred by the Browns fans's memories of Art Modell & their comparable in Howard Schultz & Clay Bennett's underhandedness in the departure of the Sonics from Seattle.

&, yay, verily, the peoples of Miami, Cleveland, & Seattle shall be pitched against the middling, mushy, unthinking mass of the rest of Middle America, LBJ against Durant, the spoiled, petulant, angry black versus the Wayne Brady of the Hardwood. (Nevermind KD's massive backpiece tattoo. He's not a thug in the eyes of the Mikes, Francesa & Lupica, & even the Herd with Cowherd is... agreeable to him, so he's the hero of the prospective Meteorologic Throwdown.) Let the antihero win.

If it comes down to Boston & Oklahoma City, the battle between Rondo & Westbrook will be scintillating.

& since Rondo is better than Westbrook -- & I say this knowing R-Dub is my favorite Thunder -- Boston will win. & Doc will have stamped his ticket to the Hall of Fame. (Which nobody in Orlando, nor Boston, for that matter, will be able to believe.)

The '77 Blazers would like a word. Also, the '83 Sixers. & desperately, the 'Nique era Hawks, who never won even one title.

If Ray Allen was even a little more dependable right now, I could totally buy the Celts mucking it up enough to beat the Thunder. I'm also not sure who on Boston would guard Durant: I know Pierce was great in the second half the other night, but he looks really fucking tired from guarding LeBron. I guess you could put KG on him sometimes. I think Chewbacca and Perkins would wet their pants with KG up in their shit.

first of all, if things go well for the c's tonight, i will not need them to beat the thunder to be happy. that said, they are absolutely capable and i don't think it requires mucking it up. i'm not a big believer in experience meaning much in sports normally, but it has been on display in the heat series that the c's have more poise than any team i can think of in recent history. if, and it's a big if, they could steal a game in okc, i think you might see the wheels come off for the thunder. the spurs were a much scarier matchup to me, even though the thunder are so much more talented individually.

Barring injury, I honestly can't see OKC being stopped.

This may only be of interest to Tanner and me, but what are your top picks for the Hornet's name change?

no question they are the scariest remaining team, but stranger things have happened.
