...are you still listening to a ton of new music, or are you spending time with a lot of older releases?

I'm finding myself listening to less new music, and re-discovering a lot of older stuff I haven't heard in ages.

Both, really. It's been better across the board.

more new music probably. See, I probably only use .001% of what it can do. I didn't even know about the "related artists" feature. Someone enlighten me.

if you go to an artists Overview page (the one that lists all their albums), there is a Related Artists tab at the top you can click that will switch to another view with a grid of artists that sound similar or have some sort of aesthetic connection to the artist you're on. probably based on tags.

ah, ok. Makes sense as I usually just choose and album and listen to it in its own frame.

Who were some of the best artists that you guys have discovered, and what was your path to discovering them? (Like what artist were they related to, or whatever.)

I'm one of those luddites who actually listens mostly to music on a stereo rather than a computer or mobile device. I have a lot less time to listen to it than in the past and less interest in actively attempting to discovering things new to me than I used to because I basically have more music than I know what to do with. I probably would have loved Spotify ten years ago but now I'm not intrigued enough to bother with it.

In my case, I just suddenly have something I wanna hear, and there's almost no chance I actually own it.

Discovered quite a few ambient artists on the Soundrop app in the ambient room. Nils Frahm, Benn Jordan, Obfusc, C418.

Discovered quite a few black metal bands I'd never listened to just by using the related artists feature: Taake, Iskald, Windir, Vreid

...and I have no idea what the fuck it is or why someone recorded it, but man, I hope you're in a brightly lit place with friends near by.
