In a 24 hour news cycle, yes. I don't see that anyone has chatted about it here. Unless I'm not understanding it, I don't see how it's any different. We still have all the BS bowls, it's just that the same majors host the National Championship, it's just called a playoff now because the teams are decided by committe.

But 4 teams play and then the winners of those two games play each other = progress.

And the Championship Game itself will be played in and "bid" on by a different city every year not necessarily those in the four BCS Bowl locations so Indy, Dallas, ATL etc will host

Apropos of nothing, I've been stepping out during lunch the last 2 days trying to find things to take pictures of, so I can learn to use my new camera. Went across the street today to harvard's stadium, which is open and unlocked. Built in 1903, was the world's first really big reinforced concrete structure. They went heavily roman on it, arches everywhere and these (now empty) clamshell spots for statues inside the building. Neat old building, and it sorta got me in the mood.
