And...just to see if anyone else cares, the WVIAC has effectively dissolved with 9 of its teams going on to form a 12-team conference. Yeah, its DII, but its weird to see this happening now in the lower ranks as well.

Typical NAT mentality - they ain't shit so they have to try to bring us down. That's why we face fucked them the past couple of years even with a down team.

Point of fact, GT has the more recent national title. Though even theirs is old enough to drink.

In a 24 hour news cycle, yes. I don't see that anyone has chatted about it here. Unless I'm not understanding it, I don't see how it's any different. We still have all the BS bowls, it's just that the same majors host the National Championship, it's just called a playoff now because the teams are decided by committe.

But 4 teams play and then the winners of those two games play each other = progress.

And the Championship Game itself will be played in and "bid" on by a different city every year not necessarily those in the four BCS Bowl locations so Indy, Dallas, ATL etc will host

B-ham seems like the perfect place. What are they gonna put their bid in with? Meth or crack?

Everytime I see that pic of Delaney, Slive, and Hancock looking all happy with themselves over this I just want to blow torch them since they're the types that have pretty much held this up for DECADES.

Now they want to talk "the will of the people" after ignoring them forever.

Fuck off. Your ratings were in the toilet and advertisers were grumbling. Eat shit.

Also, the first year this is implemented I'm sure UGA will be #5.

The first year of this Final Four playoff will be three SEC schools & an 8-3 Notre Dame squad.

No one is going to be happy, still.

Apropos of nothing, I've been stepping out during lunch the last 2 days trying to find things to take pictures of, so I can learn to use my new camera. Went across the street today to harvard's stadium, which is open and unlocked. Built in 1903, was the world's first really big reinforced concrete structure. They went heavily roman on it, arches everywhere and these (now empty) clamshell spots for statues inside the building. Neat old building, and it sorta got me in the mood.

they made the right move. He was a team cancer, much like our coach and offensive coordinator are staff infections.

"Tearing down the statue of Joe Paterno does not serve the victims of Jerry Sandusky's horrible crimes or help heal the Penn State community. We believe the only way to help the victims is to uncover the full truth." -paterno people

what a sad, pathetic reality the paterno family lives in. it's pretty messed up their vain attempts to exonerate dead Joe even after the Freeh report was released. much like the man himself, they fail to see beyond the legend & admit his accomplice to child rape. it appears the ncaa will not impose the death penalty and i'm having trouble accepting this - cutting a few scholarships & other misdemeanor punishments are slaps on the wrist. smu got caught (hilariously) trying to keep up with the football standard - they were reckless but everyone was doing it. psu's brass made calculated moves to conceal kiddie rape all in the name of JoePa. imo, they deserve nothing less than a couple years football-free & an incredibly HEFTY fuck you fine. the program & the school won't suffer - sounds like they've already killed it with donations from the blindly allegiant alumni anyway. fuck the paternos (especially mouthpiece Jr.), fuck the former leadership & fuck all paterno defenders just because.
