Ya, lot of JD influence. The other band I thought of was that recent (last year?) Aussie band that got a lot of hype and sounds kinda like these guys.

So, maybe not completely orginal, but definitely very listenable and enjoyable...

on first listen, reminding me of Kiwis Surf City run through an Echo and The Bunnymen filter. The chiming guitars of "Human" reminded me of Real Estate. I could possibly like this.

I eventually found one. It's good, but not RAVE good. This said by a casual Rush listener.

yeah, they're a Nashville band (one of many in our garage scene). Pretty sure I sent this or at least a link to a track to Bloor, Derris and GAR a couple of months back.
