I got 4 of 7.

Proud of myself for having a memory, but a little disappointed in what I'm using it for.

Can't wait for the Olympics. I have Olympic fever.

Strangely I do. Not sure how many names I remember, but I remember it being a Big deal. Seems like some were associated with UGA, and I know their program was major.

I remember the one girl sticking her landing with a sprained or broken ankle or some other such injury. And being completely amazed by her guts and talent. That was a pretty great team.

Keri Strug
Shannon Miller
Dominique Moceanu
Dominique Dawes

That's all I can remember. Miller was the great one, Stug had the moment, Moceanu did "Devil Went Down to Georgia", and Dawes was the black chick built like a brickhouse.

Oh man, the '96 women's gymnastics team was my favorite Olympic moment. I was 12 at the time and found the varying storylines ridiculously compelling.

I just watched the clip above for the first time since 1996 and teared up again.

Dominique Moceanu was always my favorite, though, of course, Kerri Strung is what I remember most.

NBC having the Olympics returns "Roundball Rock" to our lives at least once every four years.

Praise be!

Also, to get this back to gymnastics -- if any of you saw the closing letter in Drew Magary's FUNBAG at Deadspin yesterday, about the waxing habits of the US Women's team (&, to be fair to the correspondent, Men's team as well), I weren't the one who wrote.

But I should have been.

Would a Bela Karolyi sex scandal be the least surprising thing in the history of man?
