The band members of Baroness and their crew are recovering from injuries sustained after their tour bus crashed outside of Bath, England early on Wednesday morning.

John Baizley has broken his left arm and left leg. Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae. All three remain in the hospital as of this writing. Pete Adams has been treated and released from the hospital.

Three of the five crew members who were on the bus have also been treated and released. One member is still undergoing testing. The driver of the bus remains in critical condition.

Please stay tuned for further updates. Thank you for all the support during this extremely difficult time.

I listened to Chicken on a Bicycle last night on my way home from work—the whole thing. And, you know what? I still like it. The whole thing. After more than 2 years. It hasn't been like that with anything else that I've ever recorded. I'm goddamn proud of that.
I mean, I've still liked parts of other things and it's not like Chicken is without its flaws, but they don't really bug me as much as the flaws of other records that I've done bug me.
Hopefully I've got another one of these in me.

One day, Dalen's (largely electronic music offering) label will put out a PopTodd/SenatorLooGAR split 7" under the title Johnny Taint & the Hops of Pop. The question: which LooGAR original will PopTodd cover, & which PopTodd original will LooGAR cover?

I was trying to think of really depressing Gameboy games that someone would play on that.

Currently drawing a blank.

The Floyd "live" on the BBC in 1967. I guess that this clip was feared lost -- erased from the masters and everything. But somebody (mostly) salvaged it.
Cool to see Syd actually (kinda) performing.
And I think that the crap video quality actually adds to the psych appeal.

I see two symetrical nipples and a tattoo that people are mistaking for an off-center nipple.

I'm not talking about the monitor patches. I'm talking about the coffee coloured nipple on the right, & the black patch on the left. (Which might be the tattoo to which Sqqquuuirg referred.) & most importantly, is there a nipple on the left, if that black patch is a tat? & is that (theoretical) nipple on a line with the right?

I noticed this week that Joanna Newsom is opening for Wilco at their Hollywood Bowl gig next month. Is that the final step in their evolution from reg rock to ppdd band?
