addictions to dat synthetic weeg, arrests & multiple academic infractions are truly heartbreaking. thugs far shittier than this punk get drafted all the time. i think it's high time you sever your blind allegiance to lsu & admit you're more bummed about filling a hole in your college fantasy team. i noticed you failed to mention anything about him getting an education - which i find appalling considering you're a teacher.

I don't understand why you felt the need to attack me because I felt bad about the situation. To my knowledge, which I would guess is a bit more extensive than yours in this situation, there are no arrests or academic infractions associated with Mathieu. If you are aware of some, please enlighten me. I have no fucking college fantasy team, you presumptive prick. He is also going to enroll in another university in which he will further his education before he makes a decision about his future following this year. I posted in a college football thread, so you being "appalled" about my comment is a bit comical to me.

i beg your pardon i read this as his rap sheet: 'Miles said Mathieu broke both team and university policy, which tend to intertwine only with regard to arrests, academics and substance abuse policy.' and you're absolutely right, there's nothing appalling about a LA-based PE teacher addressing concerns on education. i apologize for holding you to a higher standard.

and i hardly attacked you, but your CHH has made this all worthwhile.

Anyway, brah, it's reefer. Tyrann likes the reefer.

Even you have admitted to that (liking the reefer).

Les Miles would have been cool with it if Tyrann were ingesting it, not smoking it.

Harry,
The early line for the showdown between Nebraska and UCLA at the Rose Bowl this week is the Huskers by 6.
I'm looking forward to the primetime clash, but I will be spending most of that time eating smoked meat and drinking craft beer at a Home Brew Club picnic.

I'm traveling to Death Valley on Saturday to see Washington get run over by LSU. Despite the impending loss I'm still looking forward to seeing a game in the college football Mecca known as the SEC.

What can I expect fellas?

I went with the visitor's section in the south end zone---safety in numbers :)

You'll have a blast. I've been to games there twice and had no issue save a couple drunken idiots but that happens anywhere in the SEC (and most sporting events in general). I've never stayed in Baton Rouge though. Always stayed in NOLA and either drove over or took a "party bus" over. Dawgs won both times I went and there was little issue after the game. (Quincy Carter led squad once, and Knowshon Moreno/Stafford led squad the second time).

Best advice I can give you is find an LSU tailgate with a big spread, find the guy in charge, and tell him you heard SEC tailgating was the best and wanted to experience it. They'll most likely fall all over themselves trying to show you how good their tailgating is (i.e. - give you food and booze).

I've also snuck liquor in both times with no issue.

Thanks Derris.

Yeah, we're staying in New Orleans and taking a UW party bus to BR for the game. The UW alumni assoc. has recommended the "Tiger One Village" tailgate---any experience with that?

Derris = Nail on head.

Our fans take great pride in their tailgating and hospitality. Never heard of that particular group of tailgaters, but my advice to you would be to "follow your nose". Some of the best food (and drink) you'll ever experience. There will be a few drunk "Tiger Bait!" yellers. Just ignore them and smile. Don't start no shit, won't be no shit. I predict that you'll have a great time, other than enduring the heat in the stadium this time of year.

My alma mater (Texas State) opened on the road as a 34.5-point underdog at the University of Houston.

Final Score:
Texas State 30
Houston 13

FUCK. YEAH.

I think I read somewhere that it was only the 5th or 6th time in history that a 34 point or more underdog won the game.

Catastrophic loss for Houston. Their OC "resigned" the day after the loss.

Last night's game may have been the most entertaining half of football all weekend. Great finish. Anytime the NATS have to endure heartbreaking misery makes for a wonderful end to opening weekend.

I think the spread is now down to 4 1/2... this early in the season I wouldn't surprised in any outcome of this game. Nebraska (and Martinez) could easily become one of the big stories of CFB this year... and it's impossible to know how much UCLA has improved. But Bruins (who have always had talent) look like they are completely rebuilt in the Mora era... and, at home with high hopes, will be motivated. This game means more to UCLA than Huskers. I am guessing Bruins would win by a field goal ( but then they have no kicker... and a questionable defensive backfield.)

One word for the future... Hundley.
