Rads, have you given the Royal Headache album a listen yet? I think you'll enjoy it. It's one of my favorites of the year.

Yeah, I love it. But we're both a year late on it.

Rads, you check out the new Redd Kross record...figured, the band is up your alley.

i think it's great, and the decade or so between this and their last release, they haven't missed much of a beat...

I think I'm more of a fan of the bubblegummy side of Redd Kross (like "Switchblade Sister", "Ms. Lady Evans", and most of Neurotica) and this new one is more power than pop. Admittedly, I didn't give it much of a chance - but after a couple listens it wasn't doing much for me. A friend just saw them on this tour and said they were great though.

Unless I missed it somewhere, you've been awfully quiet about Divine Fits. No likey?

edit: other than a cursory listen, I haven't spent any real time with Jim Noir. It seemed like there were a few instrumentals and a song that sounded like 'Norwegian Wood'?

The only one I remember being instrumental is the opening track, which sounds like a wonderfully ramshackle outtake from The Beatles' Let It Be sessions. Would make a GREAT podcast theme song. Most of the rest of the songs have lyrics. I need to give it more listens.
