It sounds like a Spoon record with some flourishes to me...not hating, because I like it a lot.

Ha ha - my thoughts exactly.

Definitely a grower. At first it sounded like a collection of Spoon b-sides, but I've come to appreciate it as its own entity. I'm surprised by how much I like the Dan Boeckner songs ("Baby Get Worse" in particular).

Still makes me anticipate a new Spoon album though.

"baby get worse" is by far my favorite song on the album. the hook in there is a magnificent earworm.

I got this a couple weeks ago and really like it so far. One of my ten favorites this year.

I love it. I definitely don't like it better than any of the last three Spoon albums but I'm not comparing it to them either--it think it exists on its own and is pretty great.

Regrettably, I've only had time for a few listens. Holding opinion until I can let it sink in properly.

Well its the perfect song for them, it could have been a song by either of their bands, and when Britt finally gets a few lines of the hook in towards the end it is so fucking good...

I'm loving "Would That Not Be Nice". Is the rest of the album good?
