Will they play some David Robideaux music at his funeral?

As Chrome CW pointed out above, there are reverse angle views that show Tate's shoulder to Lee's chest as the initial contact then his helmet hits the face mask. Is that illegal? I don't think so. But I'm sure Goodell does and Tate can expect a $10,000 fine which his teammates will gladly cover.

Make that $21,000.

Well done, Goodell. :wanker: :drink:

i know the nfl has issued memos to teams about respecting the replacement referees, but does anyone know if they are going to ask broadcasters to tone down criticisms? that would seem in their interests. collinsworth and michaels were brutal on the refs last night and i thought a lot of other announcing teams were more brazen in their comments than the previous weeks.

Falcons are the best team in the league, and it's not even close.

+10000. It's bad but jumping all over every single minute detail got so annoying. Atlanta market got ONE afternoon game (KC@NOLA) and Dan Dierdorf made a comment what seemed like every other play.

Still, WAY too many booth reviews. Games are running long. The networks may start putting pressure soon.

this would be interesting.

i was on redzone all day, but realized late they hadn't had any 4pm game updates since the early games were all running late. and that doesn't even include the OT games.

The Falcons-Chargers game was the shortest NFL game I've seen this season (or at least felt that way). It started at 4:00 EST and most of the other late games that started at 4:25 were still going more than an hour after the Falcons had ended. I definitely wasn't complaining--the MNF game against the Broncos was longer than the Suberbowl.

It reminded me of when Maddux would pitch and baseball suddenly became a very watchable 2 hours.

Having been on the WRONG end of too many of these calls to count, I'll smile and take this one :)

Also, while I acknowledge it was probably the wrong call, I'm not 100% sure that the normal officials would have gotten this right either.....and having been at the game, it was a whole lot LESS cut and dry than I expected it to be based on what i was reading online. Most Pack fans at the game were very gracious in their handling of it though, so that is cool in my book (they might not be when they get home though - they did NOT show a replay in the Stadium)

Unfortunately i went to school in Washington so a lot of my high school "friends" on facebook are Seahawks fans and they're mostly being total d-bags about it. I'm a big fan of Wilson (obviously) and have never disliked the Seahawks but ........ugh....sometimes facebook is the worst. I don't want sports to bring out the worst in me....i have two little boys and i can't be one of those parents......benedryl...then sleep.

By the way. The Hawks looked good. That D is crazy, Lynch is awesome and Wilson is playing mistake free and should only get better.

"probably the wrong call"?

How anyone can honestly watch that replay and say Golden Tate had possession of that catch, baffles me.

They are definitely the best in the AFC, but I still think Atlanta is much better.
