Just realized that their "most recent" album was 2007.

They were ridiculously young, really talented, seemed set to at least make some kind of a mark on the pop culture landscape. Now it's 5 years later without so much as a peep. Who do they think they are - Tsar?

Fuckers'll be closing in on 30 now.

Thought about pulling out De Nova for a listen yesterday.

redwalls are kaput. but andrew and rob (guitarist and drummer mentioned in above wiki) have been in a band called sleeptalkers (not the NZ band) who play around chicago occasionally. they're not bad, but they unfortunately do not have the redwalls spark.

Logan and Justin have some issues. Andrew's a solid guy, I don't blame him for pulling up stakes. The drummer on De Nova, Ben, was an o.k. drummer, but not as good as Jordan who drummed on Universal Blues. I don't know much about the new drummer who also left.

My guess is Logan and Justin will keep being prolific and record eventually, probably with Jordan, and maybe again with Andrew or someone else they know in the chicago scene.

It's too bad Capitol Records went kaput in between De Nova and the s/t, although I hear they walked with the new album's tapes and no debt carried over.

I caught the tail end of the Redwalls when they opened for Oasis back in 2006 and thought they were pretty good. This is the first time i've seen them mentioned since then (approx.).
