Notre Dame still sucks, but their defense sure doesn't.

Playing great defense and the offense is coming around as well, especially since it was looking like there were going to be issues with Line Depth as recently as this last summer.....am interested to see how they do against AZ this week, for obvious reasons...

Arizona looks pretty confused and generally poorly coached when I watched them against the Ducks this weekend...although talented. Rich Rod!!

Ducks deservedly jumped us in the polls. We can't live on our defense for very much longer.

Just would like to share that I really hope Georgia beats 'Bama this year. Not because of any affection for Obner's peachy ofays, just am really tired of all things Tide.

From your mouth, to God's ears.

Loog feels the brunt but we get it here in Atlanta as well. For me, it's not just their success but The Deification Of Saban among not only their fans, but the sports media in general. He is untouchable down here right now. It's obnoxious. He berates his own fans for not coming to shit games and their faithful still eat it up.

I'm feeling good about the Dawgs but also fully recognize we have yet to really play a legitimate team (read: SEC contender).

Bama is the clear favorite but I'd still like to see what they do if they get rattled like get down 14 early by a fumble or something to a good team. They have a pretty young team. All world talent, but young.

Scary stat I saw - Murray still yet to beat a team in the Top 20

Amongst your friends on Dawg Vent Lite, I'm sure. And I guess I knew that intrinsically, but had to read it in a negative "show and prove before we believe" matter for it to really register.

I've been beating that drum/knock to the Swan Brothers (whose new album "Jesus Let Me Down Again" is out this October!) since Murray's 2nd season.

Dude is putting up video game numbers but when the lights have been brightest he hasn't gotten it done. Sadly, due to our shit schedule, he's only going to get 1 shot at a big time game during the regular season. (I think UF will have 2 losses by the time they play us).

Nebraska comes back from a seventeen point deficit to beat the Badgers, after Montee Ball had his second career fumble late in the game.
Now, I just hope they can beat Urban Meyer in Columbus next weekend.

He had some great plays and some TURRIBULL plays yesterday. I cannot understand our schizo offense. At all.

The Richt/Bobo offense works a lot better when you've got stud running backs: It actually makes perfect sense (note: it's the same offense FSU beat people like a gong with in the 90's)

True. But there were times yesterday when we weren't even trying to get said stud running backs into space. These guys are badass, and that pitch out finally seems to working, instead of off/in tackle running all the GD time.

That and coming out in clear running situations, but going into the shotgun, etc.

Yeah, I do have concerns about any offense with that much firepower that doesnt line up in the I with the QB under center and just run the ball down teams throats. I did like Murray in the no-huddle. Much like the Falcs, it's seems like a good way for them to move the ball.

South Cack starts out as a -2 favorite. Seems about right.

The Ohio State University is a 4.5 point favorite over the Huskers in Columbus on Saturday Night.
The Huskers have a tendency to look piss poor in night games on the road, so I'm hoping they keep it close and possibly win another close one.
They have also been saddled with being the odds on favorite to represent the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl now, so that can't help matters much either.

The Bruins just need to learn to put it in the end zone a bit more often, and be a little more like Oregon.
It is amazing that three obner teams (UCLA, Georgia and Nebraska) have been offensive juggernauts so far this year, but it is probably more of an imperative for the Dawgs and Huskers to play a little defense real soon.

UCLA is averaging 35 points a game, and while more points would always be good, the defense needs to be more consistent. Game in Berkeley this weekend will tell if they can continue to improve and deserve a place in Top 20. We haven't beat Cal in Berkeley since 1998.

USC game this weekend is pretty damn big.

Also, was it just me or did Jarvis look like he was going through the motions on Saturday?

I'm beyond pleased that Gurshall racked up so many yards, but is UT's D-Line just that bad?
