How much physical music...have you bought so far this year?

I've moved house twice in the past year, and the process made me loathe the fact I'd collected so much vinyl and CD detritus. From this point on, it's download only - and if I like an album/band enough I'll pay for an official download, go to their show, and maybe buy some merch.

although i do pay for spotify mobile, so I've probably listened to more music this year than last, even though i never download anymore (not because of ethics, because I care even less than before).

4-5 pieces of vinyl a month, mostly used from the 60s-80s

10-20 vinyl this year, I would guess. First physical music I've paid for in years, all really due to setting up the record player. New stuff, plus the haul my wife found by the roadside means there's enough variety to listen to when we want to throw something on. And there's not all that much of it (60 or so albums? --Guessing) so it wouldn't be a chore to move. And if we DID move there's a fair chunk of that "found" stuff that wouldn't be coming with us. Some really bad shit in there.

My purchases have dropped way off from last year. I think I've bought one cd in the last 3-4 months, have made it to maybe 6 or 7 shows this year, haven't set foot in a record store (not counting best buy) since March. Trying to save for other things so I mostly just download everything.

I bought vinyl for the first time in years, I had to stop my addiction because there was no more room for it and I was no longer being played to spin it (and even when I was getting paid I no longer used vinyl.)

But it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside so I might be buying more soon. I donated about a 1,000 records when I moved so I have a little more room to buy again.

I bought 3 pieces yesterday, Spilt Milk on 180 gram, Brendan Benson's My Old Familiar Friend (also 180 gram, to replace the copy the exgf took), and the latest Matthew Sweet album because I liked Sunshine Lies so much. I spent too much. No more til Christmas (yeah right).

Mostly vinyl from garage sales lately. Found a scuffed but non-skipping copy of All Things Must Pass for $5 a couple weeks ago.
