Please.
And, get out/evacuate if they tell you to. Stuff is just stuff.
Much love and thoughts/prayers to you all for your safety.

Isn't this like a Cat 1 or something?

I think that, at this point, it is. But, from what I've been hearing, there is a cold front or something that is on course to collide with this thing and turn it into a monster.
Unless I misunderstood.
EDIT:
Weather.com Wrote:
The storm is expected to encounter a wintry storm chugging across from the West, and frigid air streaming south from Canada. The rare mix of merging weather systems over a densely populated region, experts predict at least $1 billion in damage.
The resulting storm "Will be like a nor'easter with a hurricane embedded in it," said The Weather Channel's hurricane specialist Bryan Norcross said.

But I don't think that I did, unfortunately.

You probably didn't - I keep hearing hints of "ohg" from places around here, but I haven't really paid attention much.

Vermonters are on edge. I wasn't thinking much of it until today.

If it turns where the prediction I saw says it might, PA will be right in the path.
Sweet. Weather vacation?

I wouldn't wish a hurricane on anyone, much less the densely populated Northeast coast. Prayers up for all you guys in the potential path.

Last year on Halloween we had a blizzard. This year a hurricane. Maryland, ya'll.

But seriously, out here in W. MD we're looking toward the snow end of this. And flooding. But mostly wondering if the temps will plunge and get the white stuff.

I don't care either way--I walk to work, I have 4WD, and I'm fully stocked with beer. Bring it on.

I'm in the clear now. Just a few heavy windy rain bands all day yesterday and this morning. A little messy but I'll take it over hurricanes.

Sort of reminds me when Floyd took a similar path and ended up rockin' NYC, flooding all the train stations and stuff.

Welp, my work already announced they're closed tomorrow and Tuesday.
We seem to be directly in good ol' Sandy's path. We'll see how it goes...

Apparently PP&L has been calling its customers to let them know that they could be without power for a week.

got a text before i went to bed that work was still on, and a call this morning that people on the PA side are free to not come in. Phew! Was not looking forward to either driving there or being stuck there if they closed the bridges. But was sort of looking forward to staying in that $25 motel with the bar in front that looks like a great place to write a novel.

Came in to work by bike, nothing much going on in Boston yet. Steady weak rain, mild wind, gusts around 15mph I guess.

I keep looking over my shoulder every half hour to see how far the trees are being bent over.

Winds up to 30 steady, gusts over 50. Interesting.

Winds definitely picking up here in Boston, but nothing that would worry me much. Course I am inside and watching from the window...
