I've watched bits and pieces of it, but it caught my attention for a good while the other night.

Did you hear Obama's old dear back in Kenya?

"If you are loving, people will like you."

It's not something any strategist or commentator would say because it's too simple and truthful but it pretty much sums up why the election went the way that it did.

Incidentally, looks like Trump spoke too soon about Obama losing the popular vote.

Yep.
Still, I bet it didn't bother him one bit when W lost the popular vote but won the presidency in '00.

Considering I live in one of the conservative areas of PA I was expecting more post-election wrath on my feed. But here's a few satisfying morsels.

Quote:
Disappointed by America. Who would have ever imagined that hand-me-outs would beat out hard work. We march as a nation toward a socialist welfare state. The founding fathers would be devistated.

Quote:
In some ways I feel like Jonah sitting up on the hill under my little tree waiting for the sins of a nation to come to there fullness so I can say I told you so. Of that I repent, I will still preach the warning and sound the alarm. I believe a nation can change in a day and the heart of the leader is as water in God's hands. We as a nation may yet repent, and who knows God may yet turn aside his rath and leave a blessing.

my son's 3rd grade class had a mock election on monday. of course, being in indiana, even the kids all voted for mitt rodney, but he told my mom he voted for Brock Obama like his dad. in my imagination, he was the only kid who voted O and was mercilessly made fun of and is now like "whats up now bitches" to all his classmates*.

*didn't really happen

yeah, I saw a similar status update from a friend I went to HS with. I simply defriended him. I've eradicated all politically dumbassery on my Facebook news feed, but it did make for a homogenous and subsequently boring news feed last night.

My 11-year-old son's class had a mock election, too.
He came home with an "I Voted!" sticker on his shirt, onto which he scrawled "for Chuck Norris."

Stanley Toompas The popular vote was almost a perfect 50/50 split. I am trying to comfort myself in the knowledge that half of the voters agreed with us!!!! I do believe that Romney/Ryan would have been much better for the country, and I am proud of the majority of West Virginians agreeing with us...

Larry Pumphrey Actually, it was America that lost the election, not Romney. Way to many people want FREE stuff. Blacks, Es panics and single women. Romney won the white vote and families by a large margin.

Larry Pumphrey JoAnn....look at the map of Ohio...almost entirely red...only areas around large cities are blue. Same with the US map. Does that tell you something.
