but i'm not thankful for the asshole that backed up into my taillight at the grocery store while i was buying a turkey. So now I have to file a police report so I can file a claim so i can get it fixed so I don't get pulled over on the drive to IL next week.

And than a rather corpulent child was running around a corner and knocked me, my cane, my grade verification sheets, and my apple flat on the ground.

What's next? I guess in the grand scheme of things, if it's not a near death experience, I can handle it. Ok, your turn to bitch. Show me how miserable your day is so I don't feel so crabby about mine.

Oh, my life continually attacks me with a whole host of things that, in my wildest imaginings and worst nightmares, I never thought I would have to deal with.
But then, there are those small moments that make it worth it. I only wish that there were more of them.

I'm really hungry, but my mouth is still numb from going to the dentist during lunch.

There's worse stuff going on, but that's all I feel like bitching about right now.

Knowing that tomorrow I'm going head-long into a diet/exercise regimen--and that this afternoon's tub o' Dr. Pepper is my last for awhile.

And my voicemail won't work.

And the wifi won't connect to my phone in my place.

And I'm disgusted that these are (sorta) my worst problems in life.

Apparently cops don't have gps. Don't tell me they have real crime to fight, this is austin.

I ran out of patience and went ahead and ate my sandwich even though the left side of my mouth is still pretty numb.

Went to the bathroom afterwards to check and make sure I didn't chew off part of my face. I didn't see any blood, but the left half of my lower lip is kinda swollen like somebody punched me. Guess I was probably chewing on it. This is gonna suck.

We are remodeling our bathroom. We are on week 5 without a shower.

Been there. We split less than a half year later.

Oh yeah, thankful I'm out of that marriage. Almost two years now. I do miss my dogs though. I hope they don't like her baby daddy. Knowing them though, they like everyone. Traitors.

Well the cop finally showed and now I have to mail in this report. I'm guessing that when this is all said and done, I'll just have paid for it out of pocket and not made a claim at all, but I was trying to be safe instead of sorry. They are far too often synonymous.

Yeah, you'll have to pay for it out-of-pocket because the cost will be less than your deductible. The police report will ensure an increase in your auto insurance premiums, though.

But hey, at least you can still feel that "pain in the dick". One of the best places to have feeling.

I'm thankful my junk is intact, although there's a wicked scar.

Still, I peed outdoors on a booze/smoke break at rehearsal last night. Take that, death.

I had an hour long discussion with my boss about the pros and cons of sales, promotions, and specials. He won't budge. We're too good to reward our customers in any way.

I work a shitty retail job for a dying corporate entity that shall remain nameless in which I am supposed to spend roughly five hours a week scanning out merchandise that is supposed to be sent back to our vendors for a credit, and another 30-35 hours a week unloading freight trucks, sending merchandise to various customers, and doing an audit of all the merchandise in our stock room and customer bins.
I’m paid to do two jobs in a forty hour work week, yet expected to do roughly forty hours a week performing one task and another twenty hours doing another task. I could have easily been in a management position by this time, but I had no ambition to fuck people over and be out of a job within a year.

Don't you realize that wooden bowls SELL THEMSELVES?!?

It's amazing what a couple of dogfish 90 minutes and a good nights sleep can do.

I'm going to try and order this taillight myself and put it in. Wish me luck.
