I signed up months ago but I'm not sure I've ever logged in. Like Billy and Nobody, I just don't listen at the computer much.

I don't have Sonos; I use Airfoil to push all my audio (Itunes, Spotify, web streams etc.) to my Apple TV that is then connected to both my home theater and outdoor speakers. Smartphone apps act as remote controls for everything.

Rogue Amoeba is a fucking amazing company. In addition to AirFoil, I use the shit out of Fission and Audio Hijack.

I was just using Airfoil to play Spotify over my home theater but the speakers sounded all buzzy. I then just switched to Itunes (w/o Airfoil) to play the same thing and it sounds fine. You ever had this problem?

I'm guessing it was the Disney Princess songs playlist. Big hit at my house.

So... I used spotify for a day once.

Is there a way to use this service and post no information on what you're listening to the world? Also I don't want to know what anyone else is listening to...and I never want an email. Is this hard to do?

It's not that I don't like music. It's that I just don't care what other people like and I don't want people to know I think Britney Spears Toxic is an awesome jam.

do i have to do that every time?

can i also never receive an email about what so and so is listening to or adding tracks to their playlist?
it is perhaps more annoying than facebook in this regard.

Well. It's similar to Twitter and Facebook in that they notice if you haven't used it in a while...and then send you an email that's like. "Hey, Kyle has added a track to his playlist"... and yes I actually get reminders for you specifically. I don't know if it's working through facebook to know that I know you.. like I said.. I logged in once or twice with it.. and then after I run out of freeness with it I sort of gave it up.

I'm sure there's an unsubscribe button somewhere but I swear I clicked three of them.

So odd... I have never had a commercial or paid anything. When I launch it and it asks me to log in via facebook, I just X out of that pop up window and listen. Every dingle weekday, almost all day.
