I could see it possibly happening if Barkley was under center, but since he's not, it won't.

My prediction from several weeks ago of an ND curbing in the BCS title game at the hands of whichever SEC badass remains looks to be all too unfortunately prescient.

This is obvs a collusionist tactic by these two schools, right? Like, if Barkley doesn't play, he doesn't STB, so his draft stock stays atleast mid 3rd round level and LAME Kiffin gets to keep his job, all while producing the biggest CATHOLIC BONER this side of, I dunno, a piece of toast in Texas that looks like Jesus, or any movie ala Stand By Me that stars coming of age boys?

I mean, we've never been a big ND family but my NE cousins are all in full-on Touchdown Jebus will save us from The Mayans mode.

I've wanted a pair like that forever. They don't have them in my size on the website, but I sent them an email asking if they can bring Otto The Tentmaker in for a special pair.

They're a startup. Otto should be available. Looking at a pair of The Cannon's for myself.

I'm a bit disappointed that Fu isn't around to discuss a future Maryland vs Nebraska game. It will be the first one ever between the two schools and a conference game no less.

SC doesn't come close without Barkley.

Stanford is a great team but even if they didn't lose to UW and Notre Dame (which they did) I still think Bama is the best team in the country. People are overlooking how good Texas A&M has been this year. They lost by a combined 8 points to the #6 and #8 teams in the country. If the Heisman voters want to halt the award's continued spiral into irrelevance they'll give the award to Johnny Football. Not only is he putting up crazy numbers but he beat the mighty Bama in their backyard as a freshman and they'll be in a significant bowl game. Add in they did it their first year in the SEC and one of the best nicknames ever and it's the stuff folk legends are made of.

UGA will be at least a touchdown underdog to Bama as they should. They would probably beat us 7 out of 10 times but that doesn't mean we can't pull off the upset by God.

Screw the National Championship game Rod (unless of course UGA is in it, ). It's all about the next two weeks in the BCS era.

Gonna be appointment television all day.

Also, don't overlook that Florida @ FSU game. Potential for HUGE BCS implications in that one.

yeah you're probably right. i'm hoping for some crying duck fans on sunday around here. not very likely, but maybe stanford exposed some things that OSU can use on Saturday.

The blueprint is there at the very least. Stop the run, don't let them get to the outside, and don't give up the deep ball.

Also, win the trenches. Every game Oregon has lost in the last couple years, they've lost the battle at the line of scrimmage.

OSU has the players to play with them I think. Where is that game?

While I'm thining about it, I meant to post this last week when it was making the rounds on UGA blogs.

This was a "hype" image for the GA Tech/Duke game. The Quest To Obtain Bowl Eligibility:

And they wonder why we call them nerds.

So begins Hate Week.

Yeah, I predicted Southern Cal over the Irish before I knew that Barkie was out for the season.... ah, I can't stop watching the sequence below. You may remember the SC/UCLA game his freshman year; Trogans ahead by a touchdown and have the ball... 40 seconds left. Victory formation. Neuheisel calls time out. Next play Barkie fakes kneel down and then stands up and throws a 30 yard touchdown pass, time runs out. Barkie smirks and points to the scoreboard as Bruin players start to cross the field. Karma is a motherfucker. Too bad about his "unfinsihed business" as he turned down the draft and came back to win a National Championship and the Heisman. Ah.... too bad Barkie.

UCLA beats Stanford on Saturday at the Rose Bowl and OSU beats Ducks and UCLA plays... Stanford at the Rose Bowl the following week. I think Stanford could beat 'Bama more easily than could Oregon. Stanford is very, very physical. They absolutely should have won that ND game... loss in overtime. My own ratings would have Stanford 1, TAMU 2, Oregon 3, GA 4, Bama 5....

I don't think there's any way the Trees could beat 'Bama or the Beavs can beat Nike.

Sadly, Oregon is going to crush the Beavs.
UCLA beats Furd.
Oregon beats UCLA the following week in Eugene.

So when USC upsets the Domers this week, FSU beats the Gators and Bama beats UGA in the SEC title game, we get that Oregon/'Bama MNC game afterall.

I think this may happen.
