The new Tame Impala album is terrible. And I really liked their debut. The first one is psych, this new one is prog. Woeful.

Pretty much my take. I liked the last one, spacey psychedelia, light, airy but heavy rich sound. This new one just seems noisy and cluttered.

agree w/ harry and kon here. this new one is just not my bag... and I also enjoyed parts of their last one.

The first few songs on the new one don't do much for me, but after that... I don't know what you guys are talking about. Prog? Maybe it's because I've been listening to actual prog lately, but I don't hear that in Lonerism. It seems pretty similar to the last album to me, but with a few more memorable songs.

this. there is nothing prog on the new album.

also, saying you love the debut and can't stand Lonerism doesn't really make much sense. they're quite similar.

Both albums are prog. Just last night I was able to eat boogers while listening to both. That is the proof in the pudding. If you can eat a booger to it, it's prog.
